Feeding a lawn that has gone thin

Seasonal feeding for lawns that have gone thin or patchy, matched to the grass you actually have.

Sandy Mid West soil does not hold much, so lawns here run out of food faster than the label on the bag assumes. Feeding at the right point in the season thickens the grass up, which crowds out weeds without spraying for them.

What the visit covers

  • Grass type identified first, because couch, kikuyu and buffalo do not want the same thing
  • Timed to the season rather than applied whenever someone asks
  • Applied evenly so the lawn does not end up striped
  • Watering and mowing advice for the fortnight afterwards

What feeding will not fix

Fertiliser does not repair compacted soil, broken reticulation or a lawn that is sitting in shade all day. If that is what is wrong, you will be told that instead of being sold a product that cannot help.

Overgrown yard? Let's sort it.

Send through your address and a photo, and you will get a price without waiting on a site visit.
